Nomination Period: Monday, July 13, 2026 – Friday, August 7, 2026, 5:00 p.m.
Candidate nomination packets are available at the City Clerk's office located at 608 Heber Avenue, Calexico, CA 92231. Please schedule an appointment at 760-768-2102.
Extension Deadline: If an incumbent fails to file nomination documents by 5:00 p.m. on August 7, 2026, the nomination period is extended for five (5) days to August 12, 2026. During this period, any qualified person, other than the incumbent, may file nomination documents for office.
Incumbents: As of August 5, 2026, nomination papers have been issued to one (1) incumbent.
Open Seats: Two (2) Councilmember Seats
A Candidate does not qualify for the ballot until Nomination Papers have been filed with the City Clerk’s Office and signatures have been verified as sufficient.
