Members of the public will be able to make public comments in the following ways:

b) Submit public comments via email by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 to cityclerk@calexico.ca.gov or via fax to (760) 768-2103.  Public comments will be distributed to the City Council for their consideration and made available for public inspection.  Public comments will not be read aloud by the clerk during the council meeting.  They will be retained for the official record of the City.

NOTE: (Not to Exceed 3 Minutes)  This is the time for the public to address the City Council on any item not appearing on the agenda that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council. The City Clerk will recognize you and when you come to the microphone, please state your name and place of residence for the record. While members of the public are encouraged to participate, it is unlawful to disturb or delay the Council meeting with personal or slanderous remarks. Group commentators may be requested to limit their group comments to 15 minutes.  The City Council is prohibited by State law from taking action or discussing items not included on the printed agenda. If the item you wish to comment on is on the public portion of the agenda, we will take your comment when we get to the item on the agenda. Please direct your questions and comments to the City Council.  The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to adjust this time limit based on the number of speakers who wish to address the Mayor and City Council.  Comments are limited to a maximum of 30 minutes.  If additional time is required for public comments, they will be heard towards the end of the meeting, after “Discussion and potential action items”.

CONSENT AGENDA

All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are to be considered routine by the City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency/Calexico Financing Authority/Planning Commission and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. Any item may be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered separately by the City Council.
 

5.   Approval of City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency/Calexico Finance Authority Minutes for Meeting of March 19, 2025.

 

6.   Approval of Application for Alcoholic Beverage License for 7 ELEVEN 23409, 904 Imperial Avenue, Calexico, CA 92231.

 

7.   Second Reading and Adoption of an Ordinance Amending Calexico Municipal Code Chapter 10.28 Regarding Parking Meters and Zones.

 

8.   Approval of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between the City of Calexico and the Calexico City Management Association for the Period of July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2023, to Address and Ensure Compliance with an Internal Audit Finding Identified by the CalPERS Office of Audit Services.

 

9.   Authorize Interim City Manager to Sign Deductive Change Order No. 9 with Mountain Cascade, Inc. in the Amount of $216,924.43 (Credit to City) for the New River Improvement Project – Calexico Reach.

 

10.  Authorize Interim City Manager to Purchase and Install Two Johnston Short Coupled Vertical Turbine with Motor Pumps (Water Distribution Pumps) for the Water Treatment Plant in the Amount of $298,250.52 from Brax Company, Inc.

 

11.  Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between the City of Calexico and the Institute of Local Government for Technical Assistance Under the BOOST Program and Authorize the City Manager to Execute the MOU
