Members of the public will be able to make public comments in the following ways:

a) In-person comments.

b) Submit public comments via email by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 to cityclerk@calexico.ca.gov or via fax to (760) 768-2103.  Public comments will be distributed to the City Council for their consideration and made available for public inspection.  Public comments will not be read aloud by the City Clerk during the council meeting.  They will be retained for the official record of the City.

While members of the public are encouraged to participate, it is unlawful to disturb or delay the Council meeting with personal or slanderous remarks. Group commentators may be requested to limit their group comments to 15 minutes. The City Council is prohibited by State law from taking action or discussing items not included on the printed agenda. Please direct your questions and comments to the City Council.

A “Closed” Session of the City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency/ Calexico Financing Authority/Planning Commission may be held in accordance with state law which may include, but is not limited to, the following types of items: personnel matters, labor negotiations, security matters, providing instructions to real property negotiators and conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation. The Closed Session will be held in the City Hall Conference Room located at 608 Heber Avenue, Calexico, California. Any public comment on Closed Session items will be taken before the Closed Session. Any required announcements or discussion of Closed Session items or actions following the Closed Session will be made in the City Council Chambers, 608 Heber Avenue, Calexico, California.

CONSENT AGENDA

All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are to be considered routine by the City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency/Calexico Financing Authority/Planning Commission and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. Any item may be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered separately by the City Council.

 

7.  Approval of City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency/Calexico Finance Authority/Planning Commission Minutes for Meetings of September 17, 2025, and October 29, 2025.

 

8.  Ratify Acceptance of Grant Award GEN-25-25337 from the California Arts Council and Adopt Budget Amendment Resolution in the Amount of $12,600.

 

9.  Authorize Public Works Director/City Engineer to Sign Change Order No. 3 with Rove Engineering, Inc. in the Amount of $40,004.40 for Sidewalk Improvement (Grant St., Calexico St. and Van de Graaff Ave.) Federal Project No. CML-5168(036).

 

10.  Authorize City Manager to Issue Purchase Order to Sierra Energy Solutions in the Amount of $36,624.58 to Purchase Sport Lights for Nosotros Park Multi-Purpose Field.

 

11. Approval of Bid Documents for Community Center and Senior Hall Kitchen Upgrade Project No. 2025-600 and Authorize the Public Works Department to Send the Project Out to Bid.

 

12. Authorize the Planning & Building Department to Advertise a Request for Proposals (RFP) for On-Call Building Plan Check and Inspection Services.
