While members of the public are encouraged to participate, it is unlawful to disturb or delay the Council meeting with personal or slanderous remarks. The City Council is prohibited by State law from taking action or discussing items not included on the printed agenda. Please direct your questions and comments to the City Council.

A “Closed” Session of the City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency/ Calexico Financing Authority may be held in accordance with state law which may include, but is not limited to, the following types of items: personnel matters, labor negotiations, security matters, providing instructions to real property negotiators and conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation. The Closed Session will be held in the City Hall Conference Room located at 608 Heber Avenue, Calexico, California. Any public comment on Closed Session items will be taken before the Closed Session. Any required announcements or discussion of Closed Session items or actions following the Closed Session will be made in the City Council Chambers, 608 Heber Avenue, Calexico, California.

CONSENT AGENDA
All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are to be considered routine by the City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency or Calexico Financing Authority and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. Any item may be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered separately by the City Council.
2. Adoption of Resolution No. 2024-____ Approving a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Calexico and the Calexico Management Association (CMA) for the Term Beginning July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
3. Authorize Acting City Manager to Sign Amendment No. 7 to the Agreement of Professional Services in the Amount of $95,000.00 with Michael Baker International to provide Construction Support Services to the City, including Review/Evaluation of Specific Submittals for the Construction of the New River Improvement Project – Calexico Reach.
4. Transportation Development Act:
a) TDA Article 8(e) Application, Claim and Resolution No. 2024-___ for $16,769.00
b) TDA Article 8(e) Application, Claim and Resolution No. 2024-___ for $25,000.00

6. Cole Boulevard between M.L. King Avenue and Bowker Road Rehabilitation Federal-Aid Project No. STPL-5168(035):
a) Award Bid Proposal from Rove Engineering, Inc. in the Amount of $2,398,458.00.
b) Authorize Acting City Manager to Sign a Construction Agreement between the City of Calexico and Rove Engineering, Inc. in the Amount of $2,398,458.00 for Cole Boulevard between M.L. King Avenue and Bowker Road Rehabilitation Federal-Aid Project No. STPL-5168(035)
c) Authorize Acting City Manager to Approve Any Future Change Orders Not-to-Exceed $239,845.80 (10% of Rove Engineering, Inc. Base Bid) as Per City Ordinance No. 1218.
- Authorize Acting City Manager to Sign Agreement of Professional Services Between the City of Calexico and Nicklaus Engineering, Inc. in the Amount of $104,937.82 for Construction Management, Geotechnical and Inspection Services for Cole Blvd. between M. L. King Ave. and Bowker Rd. Rehabilitation Federal Project No. STPL-5168(035).
8. Authorize Acting City Manager to Sign Agreement of Professional Services Between the City of Calexico and Nicklaus Engineering, Inc. in the Amount of $42,635.00 for Engineering Services for Enrique Camarena Memorial Library, Community Center and Police Department Parking Lot Rehabilitation Project.
9. Renovations to Calexico Fire Station No. 2:
a) Authorize Acting City Manager to Issue Purchase Order to Airwave Communication in the Amount of $26,564.36 for the Purchase and Installation of PA System, Video Doorbell and VHF Pager Antenna/Coax System for Calexico Fire Station No. 2.
b) Adopt Budget Amendment Resolution No. 2024- ___ for Fund No. 255 in the Amount of $26,564.36 for Calexico Fire Station No. 2.
10. Community Mural Project Cycle 8:
1. Run Mural Project Cycle 8 for a Total Cost of Up to $21,530.00.
2. Adopt Project Forms and Guidelines sans Authorize the Acting City Manager to Execute Agreements and/or Any Documentation Pertaining to the Project.
11. Appointment By Council Member Tylenda to the Library Board of Trustees.
