NOTE:  (Not to Exceed 3 Minutes) This is the time for the public to address the City Council on any item not appearing on the agenda that is within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council.  The Mayor will recognize you and when you come to the microphone, please state your name and place of residence for the record.  While members of the public are encouraged to participate, it is unlawful to disturb or delay the Council meeting with personal or slanderous remarks.  If the item you wish to comment on is a consent item, please comment now. The City Council is prohibited by State law from taking action or discussing items not included on the printed agenda.  If the item you wish to comment on is on the public portion of the agenda, we will take your comment when we get to the item on the agenda.  Please direct your questions and comments to the City Council.

CITY MANAGER’S REPORT

CONSENT AGENDA

All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are to be considered routine by the City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency or Calexico Financing Authority and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed. Any item may be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered separately by the City Council.

  1. Warrants from May 19th to June 9, 2017 and City Salaries & Benefits from May 13th to May 26th, 2017 and May 27th to June 9th, 2017.

     

  2. Authorize the City Manager to sign an Agreement with SER Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP).

     

  3. Authorize the City Manager to sign Agreement with RADCO to Repair One (1) Sewer Manhole at the intersection of Andrade Avenue and Rosas Street.

     

  4. Authorize the City Manager to sign Supplement No. 7 Agreement between the City of Calexico and KOA Corporation for Project Design and Environmental Services for Cesar Chavez Blvd. Improvement Project.

     

  5. Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico Establishing the Appropriations Limit for Fiscal Year 2017-18 pursuant to Article XIIIB of the California Constitution.

     

  6. Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico Approving the City’s Investment Policy including Certain Revisions thereto.

      8.  Consider adoption of Ordinance approving Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment No. 2017-02 to Municipal Code Section 15.32.050, Construction on Owner’s Property – fences (citywide).

 

     9.  Consider adoption of (2) Ordinances regarding Commercial Cannabis Regulatory Activity:

           a.  An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Calexico, California, Amending Title 17 (zoning), Chapter 17.11, Article X of the Calexico Municipal Code Regulating Commercial Cannabis Activity.

 

          b.  An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Calexico, California, Amending Title 5 (Business Licenses and Regulations), Article II, Chapter 5.96 of the Calexico Municipal Code Regulating Commercial Cannabis Activity.
