Members of the public will be able to make public comments in the following ways:

b) Submit public comments via email by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 to cityclerk@calexico.ca.gov or via fax to (760) 768-2103.  Public comments will be distributed to the City Council for their consideration and made available for public inspection.  Public comments will not be read aloud by the City Clerk during the council meeting.  They will be retained for the official record of the City.

A “Closed” Session of the City Council/Calexico Community Redevelopment Agency Successor Agency/ Calexico Financing Authority may be held in accordance with state law which may include, but is not limited to, the following types of items: personnel matters, labor negotiations, security matters, providing instructions to real property negotiators and conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation. The Closed Session will be held in the City Hall Conference Room located at 608 Heber Avenue, Calexico, California. Any public comment on Closed Session items will be taken before the Closed Session. 8.   Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico Establishing the Appropriations Limit for Fiscal Year 2026-27 Pursuant to Article XIIIB of the California Constitution.

 

9.  The City Council of the City of Calexico Acting in its Capacity as the Legislative Body for the Calexico Community Facilities District No. 2003-1 (Bravo/Rodiles) Adopt Resolution Authorizing the Levy of Special Taxes of such District for Fiscal Year 2026-27.

 

10.   The City Council of the City of Calexico Acting in its Capacity as the Legislative Body for the Calexico Community Facilities District No. 2013-1 (Gran Plaza) Adopt Resolution Authorizing the Levy of Special Taxes of such District for Fiscal Year 2026-27.


11.  The City Council of the City of Calexico Acting in its Capacity as the Legislative Body for the Calexico Community Facilities District No. 2005-1 (Hearthstone) will Consider Adoption of a Resolution Authorizing the Levy of Special Taxes of such District for Fiscal Year 2026-27.

 

12.  Approve and Authorize the City Manager to Sign Non-Exclusive License Agreement between the City of Calexico and Catholic Charities for the Use of the Senior Hall for the Provision of Affordable Meals to Senior Citizens for the Period from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.


13.  Adoption of a City Council Policy, “Disruption of Remote Participation During a Council Meeting,” as Required by Senate Bill 707.

 

14.  Authorize the City Manager to Sign a One Year Agreement with SER Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP).

 

15.  Adopt a Resolution and Authorize Submission of Grant Applications to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) FY 2025 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER), Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG), and Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Programs.

a.  A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico, California, Calling for the Holding of a General Municipal Election to be Held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 for the Election of Two Members of the City Council as Required by the  Provisions of the Laws of the State of California Relating to General Law Cities.

b.  A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico, California, Requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of Imperial to Consolidate a General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 with the Statewide General Election to be held on the Same Date Pursuant to Section 10403 of the California Elections Code.

c.  A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Calexico, California, Adopting Regulations for Candidates for Elective Office Pertaining to Candidates Statements Submitted to the Voters at a General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
