Notice of Intention to Fill Vacancies for City Councilmembers and Application

 

 NOTICE OF INTENTION TO FILL

 

  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Calexico will accept applications from qualified registered voters for appointment to the City Council to fill the vacancies created by the recall of Mayor Pro Tem Gilberto Manzanarez and Council Member Raul Ureña effective May 8, 2024.

 

The term of this Council seat is from the date of appointment to December 2024.

 

Candidates must be 18 years of age, reside within the city limits of the City of Calexico, and be registered to vote in the City of Calexico at the time the application is received.

 

The appointment will be made at a special City Council meeting.

 

Application Period: May 16, 2024 to May 23, 2024

Or you may call the City Clerk’s Office at (760) 768-2102 and have an application emailed to you or you can stop by the City Clerk’s Office and pick up an application.

 

Please submit applications to: City Clerk’s Office at cityclerk@calexico.ca.gov  or deliver to the City Clerk at 608 Heber Avenue, Calexico, CA  92231 by the application deadline. 

 

Please call (760) 768-2102 upon arriving at City Hall to deliver your application.
