SR-111 Niland Geyser Mitigation Project Update: One-Way Traffic Control

Greetings:

Caltrans crews completed emergency work at State Route 111 and all lanes are open to traffic. A short new
alignment section of State Route 111 is operational and curves around the mud geyser area.

Newly installed roadside signage and electronic feedback signs will advise motorists of a decreased speed
limit as they bypass the site.   Crews will continue to monitor the movement of the mud geyser, and we thank
you for your patience and for traveling safely.
